Allies of Adelante

From bake sales to hiking the Appalachian trail and everything in between, get creative in raising money for microloans for women in Honduras.

Create your own campaign or a fundraiser on Facebook by choosing a challenge or activity, setting up a simple campaign page, and spreading the word. Adelante Foundation will then send the funds you raise to support the expansion of educational programs that accompany microloans made to women in Honduras.

Adelante also partners with Givebutter to make it super easy to raise awareness and funds! Use either of these tools, or one of your choosing. Meet with Adelante staff in Roatan, La Ceiba or any of our other locations to travel to villages, visit Adelante clients, and enjoy the beautiful jungles, oceans, and sites of Honduras!

The experience will provide a deeper understanding of how we alleviate poverty through microfinance. We recommend adding a minimum of a 1/2 day tour with Adelante to your Honduras itinerary, and we are happy to connect you with a trusted tour operator to explore nearby jungles, sanctuaries, rivers, and islands.

There are many ways to become an advocate and amplify the mission of Adelante. The first and the most crucial step we can take is to learn about places like Honduras – the history, culture, and the unique circumstances the local population faces. The next step is to share your learnings with others to help cultivate deeper understanding, empathy and respect. Consider reading and discussing books or documentaries.
