In 2020 we disbursed $2.2 million, with a total of $1.9 million in the national loan pool. Helping over 5,355 women and their families nationwide.
Since disbursing our first loan in 2000, we have provided 155,000 micro loans totaling more than $48.3M to over 25,000 borrowers.
In 2020, the relative poverty rate in Honduras reached 70% (6.51 million inhabitants), while the extreme poverty rate (lives less than $1.90 a day) is 53.4% (4.9 million inhabitants).

Honduras continues to be impacted by COVID-19 and is struggling to recover after two consecutive hurricanes hit Fall of 2020. The already high poverty rate has been exacerbated, leaving individuals and communities even more vulnerable. To overcome this setback Hondurans need capital and new opportunities to re-start and grow enterprises.
