Impact Tours

Are you interested in learning more about local Hondurans and how to support them? Adelante offers client site visits that allow you to see firsthand how microfinance empowers women with the resources they need to start and grow businesses. Choose an experience ranging from a half-day tour to a seven-day journey, with options to overlap with Adelante staff or enjoy a fully guided experience.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

• Meet Adelante staff in La Ceiba or at one of our branch offices.
• Travel to rural villages and visit women running thriving businesses.
• Explore nearby attractions, including lush jungles, the Cangrejal River, and the ocean. (Roatán is just a 1.5-hour ferry ride from La Ceiba, where Adelante’s headquarters are located.)

This unique experience offers visitors a deeper understanding of our microfinance model and the impactful work we do to alleviate poverty, all while enjoying the natural beauty and culture of Honduras.

Upcoming Impact Tours
Adelante’s next week-long Impact Tour will take place in March 2025, starting in San Pedro Sula and concluding in Roatán. Another tour is planned for early October 2025 and will follow a similar schedule. A minimum of three participants is required for guided trips.

Short Trips for Roatan Visitors
If you’re already planning a trip to Roatán, consider adding a 1-3 day excursion to the mainland. Explore Pico Bonito National Park and the Río Cangrejal, with options for a half-day impact tour combined with time in the jungle.
