With each Adelante loan Nolvia has successfully paid off in the past, she became qualified to borrow additional funds from Adelante, enabling her to grow her business bit by bit. She now has a thriving pulperia store and carniceria, she buys local livestock she prepares and packages for individual sale. With funds from Adelante, Nolvia invested in assets that would help improve her product offerings and increase business efficiencies, including an industrial-sized meat sealing machine and a larger freezer to accommodate more product. As a successful repeat borrower, Nolvia also qualified for and has taken advantage of other Adelante loan products, such as the home improvement loan and water and sanitation loan. With those loans, she repaired a roof and now has a washroom – creating a safer, more sanitary environment for her business and community.

Nolvia shared that over time she has been able to grow her income and achieve greater profits, which has enabled her to invest more into the betterment of her family, business, and home. Most recently, she was able to purchase a used car that she now uses for both business and personal purposes. She is able to pick up needed materials more easily and expand her client base through deliveries. She also uses the car to get family to and from different activities and appointments. Nolvia is excited to share that she plans to open a second business location on the other side of her city!
