The next time you are thinking of an interesting place to visit, consider Honduras. Adelante’s offices in La Ceiba (where?) are a mile from the Caribbean sea and three miles from a beautiful tropical mountain range. It’s stunningly beautiful and well worth a visit for the scenery alone. Yet what would make a trip to La Ceiba truly memorable would be spending a day in the countryside meeting with Adelante borrowers who are working their way out of poverty. The women have a warmth, humor and courage that will inspire you and fill you with hope. For many people it could be an affirming and even life changing experience.
